Who is Jarred Ruiz?
Jarred Ruiz is a graduate of the University of Arizona. His music career started in Junior High at the Learning Foundation and Performing Arts where he studied piano under Ryan Vance. He then studied piano extensively in individual studies with Laura Dunlap in high school, with an emphasis on Royal Conservatory of Music repertoire. Jarred later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in the music program at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, where he studied Piano under Dr. Daniel Linder. He took classes at the university such as audio engineering and sound production to increase the overall production of his audio design. He worked as an intern at the Jeff Haskell Recording Studio while attending school at the University of Arizona. Jarred Ruiz is not only a pianist but also a composer and audio designer, and he has produced soundtracks for films such as Tape Head, a horror mockumentary, and other short films/documentaries while also composing music and SFX for video games. He plans on furthering his career as an Audio Designer using the knowledge he has gained from learning the piano and studying music at the University of Arizona. He's won awards such as the Michael Moore Memorial Piano Competition at the University of Arizona, which you can hear him play in the link provided.
